Montauk Rugby Football Club Youth Camp (Ages 7-12)

 

A co-educational youth flag rugby summer camp for new or experienced rugby players!

Cost is $75 per child or $50 per child for families (i.e. more than 1 child.). Please when paying for more than one child per family. Click on the special family deal payment method.

Camp runs from 9am-12pm, Tue - Fri (Sept 1st - Sept 4th). 
 
On Friday Sept 4th @ 12pm following the completion of the camp-  Montauk RFC will host the camp Family BBQ. All camp attendees and their family are invited!

This summer camp is a fun, non contact, game-based introduction to rugby, giving students a basic understanding of the teamwork, rugby values, basic vocabulary, game knowledge and skills required to play flag rugby.

During the summer rugby program students will:

  • Acquire basic understanding of rules and game terminology through fun rugby themed games
  • Develop a basic understanding of core values of the game
  • Develop new skill set through exploring themes such as passing, receiving, evasion, defending,
    space & support.
  • Develop improved active listening and sequencing skills
  • Experience a high level of teamwork including leadership and commitment

Participating summer rugby students will all also receive a rugby ball and a rugby T-shirt at the scrimmage on Saturday 5th September.
